Nutone IM5000 Intercom Replacement

If you don't know already, Nutone has discontinued their IM5000 intercom.  This is the unit I had in my house for years. As I mentioned in  previous post, Roger sold my room stations right off my wall.  He has finished installing the new Valet system, and I hae to admit I love it, too!  The sound is really crisp and clear, and the room stations are small and sleek.   We were able to run new cat5 wire to most of our room stations, so I have been able to retain the music function on the system.  However, if you can't run cat5, you can use the wiring from your 5000, you will just lose the ability to listen to music through your system.  But like I said, the sound between rooms is very crisp and clear...no humming or buzzing...I really do like it.  And now....I have a doorbell again!
