This month, we are trying a new, grand experiment. $2.99 shipping all month on all orders. For years and years we have offered free shipping on all orders over $60 and $8.95 shipping on all orders under $60. Well, we've listened and noticed a few things...first our customers are returning again and again to buy supplies for their central vacuum systems, vacuums, intercoms, etc. They love that initial free shipping when they buy the product to install, but when they come back again and again, each time they have to pay $8.95 shipping for their bags or filters or whatever. So this month, when our customers return to buy supplies, they are going to get a big surprise and only pay $2.99 for shipping.
Also, I wanted to share a joke I heard this morning..maybe it will be your first joke of 2011...
A 75-year old man, who loves to fish, was sitting in his boat one day when he heard a voice say, "Pick me up." He looked around and couldn't see anyone. He thought he was dreaming. Then he heard the voice say again, "Pick me up."He looked in the water and there, floating on the top, was a frog.
The man said, "Are you talking to me?"
The frog said, "Yes, I'm talking to you. Pick me up, then kiss me, and I'll turn into the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. I'll make sure that all your friends are envious and jealous because I will be your wife!"
The man looked at the frog for a short time, reached over, picked it up carefully and placed it in his front breast pocket.
Then the frog said, "What, are you nuts? Didn't you hear what I said? I said kiss me, and I will be your beautiful wife."
The man opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said, "No thanks, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog."
